Autumn in Colorado is a good thing
If there had been any doubt that autumn was on the way, that doubt is now dispelled with the cool winds and snow on Pikes Peak. Scarves and boots are being spotted everywhere and the people who hung on to summer by wearing shorts on 60 degree days have mostly given up. Mostly. Here at Sundance Mountain Lodge we too are responding to the crisp air and the sudden desire for warm, comforting delights from the kitchen. Though the lobby has the look of a mountain lodge year-round, it now has the inviting bonus of a roaring fire in the stone fireplace with plenty of seats on the hearth. Gabe, our head chef, just doled out samples of his new brunch creation: Blueberry Muffin French Toast. This is a dish I can only describe with a sigh and a "YUM!" It really does satisfy my fall craving for today. We're inviting any and all to come by and have an autumn experience of their own. www.sundancemountainlodge.com
